PIT & RIG COFFEE · WHOLE BEAN · 340 g

Coffee that clocks in before you do.

Start in the dark. Finish in the dark. Three roasts for everything in between, picked by a guy who chased coffee around the world, closed his coffee company to raise a family, and came back for one more shift.

THE STORY

One more
shift.

01 / The search

I went looking for the best coffee in the world.

Not the most expensive. The best.

That took me a long way from home. Hillside farms where the cherries get picked by hand. Roasters working out of garages and back alleys. Cupping tables at six in the morning. A few truck-stop pots that were better than they had any right to be.

I never found one best coffee. I found out what makes one: somebody who gives a damn, every step from the farm to the cup.

02 / End of the World Coffee Co.

So I started my own. I called it End of the World Coffee Co.

Half joke, half promise: if the world ends tomorrow, you shouldn't be drinking bad coffee today.

Everything I'd learned on the road went into it. Every bag.

03 / Home

Then life got bigger than coffee.

I closed End of the World to raise a family. Best call I ever made. Kids don't care about roast profiles. They care if you're there.

So I was there. School runs. Bedtime stories. A lot of very early mornings.

Along the way I started building software for the people who run the iron. That became Pit & Rig: field tickets and the paperwork nobody wants to do at the end of a twelve. Every crew I've built for runs on two things, diesel and coffee. I couldn't do much about the diesel.

I never stopped needing good coffee. I just stopped making it.

04 / Back in it

So I'm back. Same obsession, new crew.

Pit & Rig Coffee is three roasts named after the hours you actually work. First Light for the pre-start. Night Shift for the hours nobody sees. Unapproved Overtime for when the day runs long and nobody signs off on it.

Whole bean. 340 g. From the mud up.
